This poetic vision of Paris’s riverbanks, the Louvre walls and the former Carrousel bridge was painted by Frédéric Legrip, a painter originally from Rouen who studied in Paris with the sculptor David d’Angers and the painter Joseph Court et who worked as a drawing teacher in the Ecole Nationale de dessin of Paris
