The royal ordonnance of 21 December 1762 renewed the dragoon’s uniform: a green jacket instead of a red one and a roman-style helmet. The color of the jacket lining and lapels depends on the dragoon’s regiment. Here, the red lining would indicate that the soldier belongs to regiments 1 to 6, accroding to another ordonnance dating to 1786.
