From this trip to Rome by Susanna Frances Faithful Fanshaw came to us 29 drawings from an album which contained 38 according to an inscription. We do not know the exact story of this watercolourist traveler but she leaves us with the memory of a “great tour” in Rome and its surroundings. The watercolors are of a nice quality and show us how, without a camera, a talented amateur fixed, in 1865-1866, the steps of her journey. Some watercolors have some stains or accidents and can be restored on request.
