The author of this design could be part of Salimbeni’s entourage according to the ancient inscription on it. The names of Pietro Sorri (San Gusmé, 1556-1622) or Giovan Paolo Pisani (Siena, 1574-1637) have been suggested but without it being possible for us to establish sufficiently convincing connections.
